Walter D. Shealy, III, President and Chief Executive Officer, ITC Holding Co., and Greater Valley Group, LLC
Walter D. Shealy III is an experienced financial services professional with over 38 years in banking, capital markets, insurance, real estate, acquisitions and strategic consulting. An athlete-scholar from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, he advanced through diverse specialties within the finance industry serving in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Milwaukee and Miami. During his career he served as President of both public and private companies, culminating in a position as President of a $10 billion savings bank in Miami. In 1989, Mr. Shealy founded WDS Investments, Inc., a strategic consulting firm providing investment and real estate development counsel to national and multi-national investors.
In 2005, Mr Shealy was recruited to join and lead the expanding real estate investments of ITC Holding Co. and the Greater Valley Group, LLC (GVG). In his present position, he is the visionary behind the companies’ vast real estate holdings including: hospitality, residential, retail, commercial office, industrial and retirement resort developments in the communities of East Alabama and West Georgia, closest to the new Kia production facility.
Timothy B. Knight, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
More than 25 years experience in corporate finance and accounting, including operation of public companies, initial public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions. For the past decade served in various capacities within the ITC family of companies, including Vice President, Controller of Powertel, Controller of InterCall, and Chief Financial Officer of ITC Financial Services.
Robert W. Smith Jr., Chief Credit Officer
An experienced residential real estate professional, with over 35 years experience in banking, real estate construction and finance. Served as Senior Vice-President of Bank of America predecessor (C&S), responsible for all residential construction and development lending, company-wide for 14 years. Built or renovated over 100 homes as President of R.W. Smith Builders, Inc. Most recently served as Senior Vice-President of Bank of America Mortgage, responsible for mortgage loan production for the states of Georgia and Tennessee.
Jonathan Coe, General Counsel
Has served as counsel for public and private companies in financial services and technology industries, including General Counsel of a publicly-traded financial technology and software company. Most recently served a General Counsel of PRE Holdings, Inc., a provider of prepaid telecommunications and financial products.
Shirley K. Coker, Director of Corporate Services and Human Resources Director
Has over 17 years experience in the communications and financial services industries, having held various administrative and management positions with Interstate Telephone Company and ITC Holding Company. Most recently served as Director of Administration of Capstone Funding, LLC. Managed administrative functions for Powertel, Knology, ITC-DeltaCom and HeadHunter.net during their start-up phases.
